New Scoring System - Point a Rally
The scoring system recommended by SNZ for 2010 will be that of PAR (point a rally) scoring which includes two options:
Option 1. B1 and above to play up to 11, win by 2.
Option 2. B2 and below to play up to 15 winning by 1 or 3.
Central Squash also recommends PAR Scoring for 2010 for all interclub and tournaments throughout our region. SquashGym will be applying the new PAR scoring to all of its major competitions it runs to align with the National/District stance. The only exceptions being that the club will keep traditional scoring for the Summer Open and Masters Club Champs. Individual league/ladder matches can be traditional scoring if both players agree to it.
We would encourage all members to start playing PAR in your social/practice matches so that when you are traveling to tournaments, SuperChamps or playing interclub, you are well and truely used to the new scoring.
Any questions on the new scoring don't be afraid to ask the office.
