Battle of the Machines 2010
Last Friday three contestants who had entered a radio competition via More FM, competed in the female version of 'Battle of the Machines' at SquashGym.
Last year we ran this promo for the men and this year it was the ladies turn!

From the left is Awhina, Kerri and Jo (talking to Gareth)
They had to undertake a 20 minute row, 20 minute run and a 20 minute cycle. Whoever covered the most distance over all three disciplines would win 'Battle of the Machines'! The prizes were; Squash and Gym membership for 12 months plus 10 personal training sessions, A girls weekend for two in Auckland thanks to United Travel Fielding, $250 subcard, a $750 goodie pack from Lush Cosmetics in the Plaza, A $500.00 treatment plan from TLC sports med, a $500.00 Stirling sports voucher and an I Pod from Inspire Net.
The Girls looked sharp in their 'Battle of the Machines' shirts kindly supplied by Mary from Screenprint Services.

They started on the rower with very little splitting them after 20 minutes with Kerri having slight lead over the other two girls.
Kerri pulled away slightly on the running leg which gave her a healthy buffer with just the cycle to go.

Kerri's lead proved too much for Jo and Awhina to get back, so Kerri was crowned 'Battle of the Machines' champion for 2010.

Congratulations Kerri!!!

All the distances across the three disciplines
